My Journey – Anshika Yadav
My name is Anshika Yadav. I am the daughter of Mr. Ramesh Yadav and Mrs. Munnee Devi. I come from a small village named Barhaj, located in the district of Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh.
My academic journey began in my village where I completed my 10th grade. However, the road to education was never easy. When I was in Class 6, my mother’s health took a serious turn and she required a major operation. During that difficult time, there was no one at home to take care of her. I had to leave my studies for two years to be by her side.
Those were the darkest moments of my life—it felt like my dreams had shattered.
But once my mother recovered, I resumed my studies. After passing my 10th grade, I enrolled in 12th grade in Padrauna, a town 16 kilometers away from my village. I had dreams of going even further, but my father was initially hesitant. With the support of my married sister, I joined a college in Padrauna and also started taking singing classes.
One day, a close friend of mine called me. I was feeling nervous and uncertain. He told me, “You are a fighter. Don’t lose hope. Don’t lose confidence.” He shared a contact number with me and encouraged me to participate in a modeling audition.
I followed his advice, applied, and to my surprise, I was shortlisted. That led me to participate in a modeling show where I won the Professional Model Award. The judge for the event was none other than Pridhi Sharma, known for her role in Jodha Akbar.
Soon after, I received a call from the Love and War team in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. I shared the news with my father. He was already proud of my award, but when I told him I needed to go to Roorkee for further participation, he immediately said, “I am with you—do your best.”
When the team requested a payment for the next step, I told my father. Without asking any questions, he sent me ₹25,000. I had tears in my eyes. That day, I realized how lucky I am to have a father who now supports me at every step.
Through Love and War, I aspire to become a skilled artist and a strong woman—one who can be a guiding light for girls whose dreams are crushed under family pressure. I want to inspire them to rise, to believe, and to fight for their future.
Thank you so much.
Namaste My name is Shivam Banshkar, I’m 20 years old and I come from Prayagraj, India.
I belong to a large and loving family of 11 members – my parents, 7 sisters, 2 brothers, and myself. My father, Mr. Prem Lal Banshkar, drives an e-rickshaw to support our family, and my mother, Ranno Devi, is a dedicated housewife. My elder brother, Mr. Sachin Banshkar, is passionate about acting and dancing, and he has always inspired me to dream big.
Life hasn’t been easy for us. We have faced a lot of poverty. I still remember how my father used to ride a bicycle around the city, using a magnet to collect scrap iron to earn whatever he could. Slowly, with hard work and determination, he saved enough money to buy an e-rickshaw. This marked a turning point in our lives.
Watching my parents struggle and sacrifice so much for us lit a fire within me. I knew I had to do something — to change their lives, to lift them out of poverty, and to make them proud. That’s when I found a platform that gave me hope – Love & War.
Love & War has given me an opportunity I never imagined I’d have. It has opened a door to a new beginning, a new life, and I couldn’t have asked for a better platform.
To the judges and the entire team of Love & War, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for seeing something in me, for giving me a chance, and for believing in my journey.
This is just the beginning. I promise to give my best, not just for myself, but for my family, and for everyone who has believed in me.
Thank you.
