Model and Influencer Saurabh Kumar

My name is Saurabh Kumar,and I am 24 years old, from Tajpur, Samastipur, Bihar. I come from a humble and hardworking family. My father, Mr. Awadhesh Rai, is a farmer, and my mother, Sangeeta Devi, manages our home with great dedication. I have a younger sister who got married a year ago and a younger brother, Gaurav, who supports our father in farming while continuing his studies.

After completing my 12th in science, my father encouraged me to prepare for the Indian Army. He said, “If you die on the border, I will still be proud. If your younger brother also dies for the country, I will not cry — I will say both my sons became martyrs for the nation.” Inspired by this deep sense of patriotism, I devoted myself fully to army training. I cleared the exam twice, but my name didn’t make it to the final merit list.

Disheartened but not defeated, I moved to Mumbai to chase a new dream — acting. There, I saw an ad for Love and War on Instagram, and I applied. My dream started to take shape when I got a breakthrough in the Marathi serial Balo, which elevated me beyond junior roles. My talent helped me rise above my competitors — but success brought jealousy. Friends turned into rivals. Fights became frequent, and one day, after a serious threat to my life, I had to leave Mumbai and return to my village.

Back home, I took up work in the gas pipeline sector, letting go of all dreams. With financial struggles and heavy debts, I decided to focus solely on supporting my family.

Then, unexpectedly, a letter arrived from Love and War. My mother urged me to reconsider. Initially, I refused. I had given up on that path. But seeing the unwavering faith of my family, I agreed to give it one last try.

Today, I stand once again with hope — because someone believed in me. I am deeply grateful to Jojo and the entire team of Love and War for giving me this opportunity and helping me rediscover my purpose.
