James Immanuel is an Indian dancer and martial artist from Nashik, Maharashtra, best known for his participation in the reality TV show Love & War. With over 17 years of experience in dance and performance arts, James has become one of the most recognized underground hip-hop artists from his city.

Early Life and Background

James was born and raised in Nashik, also known as the “Wine City” of Maharashtra. His passion for dance and martial arts began at a young age. At the age of 12, he started training himself in hip-hop after being inspired by the global hip-hop culture.

Back in 2005, he would save ₹15 to spend an hour at a local cyber café, where he watched international dance videos on YouTube at 56 kbps internet speed. With no access to a professional studio or formal training, James practiced his moves in gardens and on the streets. Alongside dance, he also pursued martial arts, blending discipline and creativity in his journey.

Career

James began participating in local dance battles and competitions in 2008. Over the years, he has performed in more than 2,000 shows and competitions across India. His versatility as a performer spans dancing, B-boying (stunting), beatboxing, rapping, and martial arts.

He has also trained and mentored several young dancers, many of whom have gone on to perform on popular television shows such as Maharashtra Dancing Superstar and MAD (Manjhe Asel Dancer) on ETV.

In 2019, James achieved 4 world records, marking one of the proudest moments of his career. His dedication and resilience have earned him recognition as one of Nashik’s finest underground hip-hop artists.
