Joyashree Kalita is an Indian aspiring actress and model from Guwahati, Assam. She rose to public attention after being selected as a contestant on the television reality show Love & War.
Early life
Joyashree was born in Guwahati, Assam, to Champa and Bijay Kalita. Her father works as a daily wage laborer. Despite financial challenges, she nurtured an early interest in acting and modeling. Inspired by a television serial she watched while in class 5, she developed the dream of becoming an actress.
Career and Love & War
While still in school, Joyashree began auditioning for acting opportunities. She cleared several auditions but was unable to pursue them further due to financial constraints. After completing her college studies, she once again applied for auditions and was selected for the reality show Love & War.
She received an invitation for the mega audition round held in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, on 3 August. Although her parents were initially hesitant due to financial difficulties, her mother supported her dream by mortgaging jewelry to help Joyashree attend the audition. Her selection in Love & War marked the beginning of her journey in the entertainment industry.
